Seasonally relevant and Midwest-related content can be submitted by our readers and we highly value the interest and expertise that local stories bring to the table. Our definition of the Midwest includes Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, + Wisconsin.

Submissions Issue 11 — our 2019 Spring + Summer edition — are open through Monday, February 4th.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  • Fill out the submission form above by clicking “add to cart” and pay the $12 submission fee. You may submit multiple features under one submission form.

    • Driftless is completely ad-free, and by paying the submission fee you help ensure we can continue printing physical copies of the magazine. Every person who submits will receive a copy of the magazine.

    • Want to bypass the submission fee? Subscribe to our magazine and submit for free!

  • Visual — submit print-ready full resolution images, sized to a minimum of 3000px on the longest side, 300 dpi, sRGB, jpeg or TIFF format (the upload link can be found in the submission form above).

  • Written — submit thoroughly proofread and edited work in PDF format (the upload link can be found in the submission form above).

  • Label all files with your last name, first name, and title of your work — lastname_firstname_title.

  • Submit all content by end of day on Monday, February 4th
